The Library is organizing a Town-wide read of The Map Thief: The Gripping Story of an Esteemed Rare-Map Dealer Who Made Millions Stealing Priceless Maps by Michael Blanding. Stop in to pick up a copy of Michael Blanding’s book to read in preparation for the author’s visit Saturday, October 15th at 2:00 p.m. And don’t miss Anthony Amore, Director of Security and Chief Investigator at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, charged with the ongoing efforts to recover thirteen works of art stolen from the museum on March 18, 1990. Mr. Amore will share fascinating stories and insights regarding art theft and the people and reasons behind it on Tuesday, September 20th at 6:30 p.m. in Goff Hall.
