The Ekstasis Duo (cello and piano) is thrilled to return to Arts in the Village. Known for exploring less familiar gems, this time they will present Russian and American music. Come hear the warm and emotionally moving sonata of late Romantic female composer Leokadya Kashperova, and listen for echoes of her style in the Neoclassical work by her famous student, Igor Stravinsky. The concert will conclude with American composer Samuel Barber, who was influenced by the Romantic style in his sonata.
